Roof Insulation

I’ve gone through all the posts online in the Lonepeak Owners group and Lonepeak groups on how people are insulating their roofs. I live in Maine so I need a little insulation to keep summer heat out, but also need to keep heat in during the colder months. What has worked for everyone? Foam insulation board, boat decking EVA foam, carpet tiles?

@Brewski207 I used 1/2" Thick R-Tech Foam insulation board. Cut it to size to fit in between the rails and taped the cut edges to prevent foam snowing down on me. Mechanically held in place with some 3d printed tabs where possible, and all weather tape at the forward most leading edge where there isn't an extrusion rail.

I used the Owen’s Corning 1” panel. Sits flush with the cross rails. I cut it just wide enough that a friction fit is all I needed. Game changer for my feet on the colder and frosty mornings.

@Chris McAra Thanks Chris. I actually had a partial sheet of 1” foiled foam insulation left over from a house project. I cut to size and fits snug. I also had some grey speaker box fabric as well that I glued to the interior side of said foam. Now i just need to get a couple more sheets of foam and another roll of fabric. Appreciate the recommendation.
