Side mounting a MOLLE panel. (V1)

I have an LP MOLLE panel on my front bulkhead, and wanted to put an additional panel on the driver's side. The panels are flat and obviously the camper sides are at an angle.
By my measure, the difference between the top and bottom is about 3". I used a piece of c channel steel we had laying around with an outside diameter of 3" to make an offset bracket for the bottom mount.
I oriented the channel so the open side is up. I drilled some holes in the center and added a piece of 3/4" plywood which is screwed down through the hole. This gave the bracket some added strength and created a small shelf.
One of these days I'll get around to painting it.
