Lone Peak Overland company vision update: Fall 2026

Lone Peak Overland
Lone Peak Overland @LPO ·

We just released our company vision update for Lone Peak Overland. In about five and a half minutes, Kyle covers where Lone Peak really started, what we've been building this year, and how you can help shape what comes next. You can also watch it on YouTube.

How the Lone Peak camper started

Many of you know the first part of the story (0:13). Kyle came back from a week-long elk hunt in western Washington and found that someone had cut off his rooftop tent, taken it along with his motorcycle trailer, and smashed his windows. That got him thinking about a better way to camp. With your help, that thinking became the Lone Peak Camper V2 wedge system. So first, thank you for getting us to this point.

The real story behind Lone Peak

Here's what most of you don't know: the camper isn't our true origin story (0:43). Our roots go back to the 1940s and to a Northwest outdoor legacy that Kyle only learned was part of his own story four years ago. The mission at its center was simple: equip people to get out and enjoy nature and adventure. That mission is now ours. This part is worth watching in full rather than reading a summary.

Trailhub: our community hub for overlanders

The first thing we've been building is Trailhub (2:25), our community hub for overlanders and adventurers. You don't need to own a Lone Peak camper to join. On Trailhub you can:

  • Plan convoys and invite friends on trips
  • Mark your favorite campsites
  • Share your build
  • Use the forum to see what other owners are doing to their campers
  • Request help when you get stuck

We'll also post updates on the products we're working on right here on Trailhub.

Building our operational backbone

The second project is less visible but just as important (3:07). We want Lone Peak to still be around 20 years from now, and that takes systems that can support it. We built a structure that handles our manufacturing, procurement and production planning. We also built a new sales tool that helps our sales team quote and give you accurate lead times. The goal is excellence inside and outside the company, so we can support you better and build better products.

How you can help shape what's next

The third part of the video is about the future (3:43). We're keeping the details close for now, but here's the part that matters most (4:53): we need you to come on this journey with us. Every week, we plan to post a new Lone Peak Labs video showing what we're working on in real time and asking for your feedback. That's the same kind of community input that helped shape our current wedge camper.

The best place to follow along and weigh in is right here on Trailhub.

Love that you're always looking to innovate and you have the customers in mind always. It's clear that you not only make products but enjoy using them too, so I know whatever is created will land with everyone in the community! Excited to see what's down the road!

Any updates on better insulated tent fabric?

Love the idea of a slide-in. If you guys could make an ultralight slide-in with an actual black tank that can be dumped at a dump station, that’d be a game changer. Cassette toilets are gross and don’t have large enough capacities

Love to see the growth. Glad I could be a part of it and happy with how the LP ecosystem has improved my time in the field. Looking forward to seeing the straight pop!
