My name is Dain, from CO. I have a 2022 Tacoma with a V1. My wife and I are 2 months into a 4 month roadtrip and when we are at home I will use the camper as a base camp while hunting from Sep- Nov.

The short answer

Convenience. I have the Juicebox, lights, and Fridge. All three are used on a daily basis, convenient to use with the LP app. That promotes use.

What actually matters?

Bluetti Elite 200 portable power station displaying 2400W capacity and 2073.6Wh battery with AC outlets, USB ports, and DC inputs on wooden surface
Truck bed storage system with wooden shelf and gray drawer organizer secured with orange and gray straps
Coleman camping stove with toasted bread and butter dish cooking outdoors in a forest setting

In my camper I have lights, a fridge, high quality blankets, a battery, good stove, and a juicebox. The lights are awesome for early nights when you’re moving around the camper. Headlamps work great but the lights put out so much light it’s awesome to have them especially for hanging out, cooking, or playing a card game. The fridge we love because it makes it possible to stay out longer especially with solar we never have to worry about food spoiling. We love our heat sheets and blankets. My wife and I don’t like sleeping bags in the camper and with the combo we have are good to 20° without needing a heater or anything else. It makes it feel more homey than anything. The juicebox it awesome, being able to turn on/off lights while in bed via the app is worth every penny. I probably would never use it if I couldn’t reach it from bed. Our stove is a 15+ year old Coleman and has 100’s of night cooking and it works flawlessly. It’s easy set up and take down. Especially when you’re camping you want gear that works well and is easy to use. I also use rollercam straps. If you don’t have some, purchase some. They’re worth they’re weight in gold and we use them for all sorts of random tasks.

Mistakes to avoid

Do. Your. Research. In today’s world there are hundreds of product. Whether that be a power station, camper, lights, bug net, or bedding. You can spend 100’s of dollars on lights or you can spend

0 on them. Regardless of what budget allows you can find a quality product for cheap or spend more money on the same thing. Make sure you look at the reviews. I’ve spent a lot of money on stuff that was garbage and a little money for stuff that was amazing. Those ads you see on Instagram or the influencer on Facebook isn’t always showing you the full transparency of the product. That being said, I love my Lone Peak and I would by another one without a doubt.

Good stuff! Something I didn't mention in my other thread that I found to be a great product is our Kodiak Canvas blanket. My wife and I have slept under it in temps down to about 40 and we were nice and warm. The "blanket" is more like a big flannel lined sleeping bag. But what's really great is that we are able to leave it on the bed and close the lid down without it pushing up on the roof panels. I can't do that with a regular sleeping bag.

@Tom O'Bayley I’ll have to look into something like that. We have our best bedding. The sheets stay on but the blankets come off. It may be fine with the blanket I’ve never tried but u thought you weren’t supposed to close it with stuff up top.

@Dain Cummings I experimented with our sleeping bags first and found that they really pushed up on the panels whrn I tried to close the lid. But when we got the blanket I didn't see any issues at all. The lid closed easily. But I do have to make sure the blanket is smoothed out flat. If it's bunched up anywhere it will be a problem.
