The Honey Badger - 2022 Diesel Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

Well, I was never a fan of jeeps. Untill they came out with the gladiator. The announcement of the turbodiesel motor option sealed the deal and I ordered one factory fresh with all the options I wanted. Slowly started the buildout during Covid. Parts were on backorder. So I was able to find heavy duty rear springs, alucab topper, and a used roof top tent and drove it from sc to Moab / Colorado 2 months after taking delivery. I was hooked. The gladiator ecodiesel rubicon checked all the boxes. Front and rear lockers, sway disconnect, solid front axle, 4-1 transfer case and the all powerful v6 turbo diesel engine with over 20+ mpg. I went through many different revisions of different buildout’s and settled on a perfect set up with the Lone Peak camper. It perfectly matches the way we go out wheeling hard. With matching lines and narrow profile it wheels down the trails easier then the competitors and sets up in seconds when we get to camp at dark. In the morning I’m first to be packed up and with the kitchen slide out accessory I still have time to quickly make coffee and eggs and bacon. My favorite accessory’s are the roof fan. It allows plenty of airflow and at night when I close all the doors it sucks up all the bugs! Close tie for second is the tank pressurized water system allowing for showers and cleanup and putting the fire out as well as the lighting system. Things that make it so easy and are well used.
