What started as a need for a dependable truck quickly turned into a much different passion. I bought my truck in COVID times when finding a Tacoma was nearly impossible. I bought the truck and was camping in a tent that weekend. Growing up tent camping I loved that, when I got married in 2024 my wife said she would camp with me more if we were off of the ground. Months of research, looking, borrowing, and renting different systems lead us to the Lone Peak, it got install August 2025. We loved the weight, space, push up bed, and the options we had to pick from. Having over 100nights in the camper we love the mattress also. Since we picked up the camper I have camped in every western state from Colorado to California. We are currently on a 4 month road trip where we will see 10 different states, Canada, and we will spend about a month in Alaska. The plan for the future? I couldn’t tell you. We have aspirations to travel as much as possible, see new places, and enjoy the outdoors. For sure the camper will see 2 months of Elk/ deer hunting camps, winter camping trips, the annual trip to Utah, and besides that we’d love to see Baja but that is a thought and not currently a plan.
