Migrating your ambassador status to Trailhead

If you're already a Lone Peak Overland ambassador and you're just now creating your Trailhead account, this post is for you. The program is moving onto Trailhead as its permanent home — your code, your share link, and the dashboard you've been waiting on all live inside the app from here on out. The migration only takes a minute if you do it during signup.

When you create your Trailhead account, the guided onboarding flow includes a role step. Select Request Ambassador Role there and continue through the rest of onboarding. An admin matches your request against the existing ambassador list, approves you, and your Ambassador tab unlocks on your profile. You'll be issued a new ambassador code as part of the migration — that's the one to share going forward — and your dashboard will still track your old code's activity alongside it, so nothing from your existing history disappears.

What to do if you missed the role step during onboarding

If you already created your Trailhead account and clicked through onboarding without requesting the ambassador role, don't recreate the account. Send a quick DM to an admin from your Trailhead profile, mention that you're an existing ambassador and want your status carried over, and include your handle. The admin will match you against the roster and approve.

Once approved, the Ambassador tab appears on your profile, you'll be issued a new ambassador code to share going forward, and your dashboard goes live with your old code's activity still tracked alongside it.

What's in the ambassador dashboard

The dashboard is the upgrade most ambassadors will notice first. Without going deep on any one feature, here's what lives in there:

  • Your new ambassador code — issued during migration; this is what you'll share with customers from here on out
  • Continued tracking of your old code — historical activity and any new redemptions on the legacy code still show in your numbers so nothing gets lost in the transition
  • A trackable share link at /r/<your-code> that redirects to the store with your code pre-applied, plus click tracking so you can see what's converting
  • Pending earnings from orders and walk-ins that are still working through confirmation
  • Paid statements with a record of each payout for your archives
  • Monthly trends showing how clicks, conversions, and earnings move over time so you can see what content is working

A separate walkthrough thread will cover how to actually use each piece — this post is just so you know what's waiting for you on the other side of approval.

If something doesn't line up after migration

If your new code doesn't show up, your old code's history isn't appearing in the dashboard, or anything else feels mismatched after your account is approved, DM an admin with the specifics so it can be reconciled against the old records. Post in this thread if it's a general question other ambassadors might benefit from seeing answered.
